Privacy Statement

Compliancy with EU-PDGR (NL-AVG) 2018-05-25

Signcast®, with its registered office at (3583AV) Utrecht, van der Helststraat 46 in the Netherlands (hereinafter “Signcast”), attaches great importance to responsible handling of user data.
We respect the privacy of visitors to the website and the users of the Signcast® CMS solution SigncastFeeds™ and ensure that any personal information you provide is treated confidentially.
Processing of the personal data takes place in a manner that is in accordance with the AVG / PDGR - 2018-05-25.
The EU General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR (in Dutch; AVG - 'de Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming') replaces the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC
and was designed to harmonize data privacy laws across Europe, to protect and empower all EU citizens.

For Signcast®, Mr. E. Simon Thomas is acting as the responsible Data Protection Officer "DPO" (in Dutch; de functionaris voor gegevensbescherming (“FG”).

Privacy Impact Assessment - PIA

In accordance with the GDPR / AVG, we have conducted a limited 'Privacy Impact Assessment'; "PIA".
The (possible) privacy risks of our processing are low.
The assessment of this PIA has therefore been partly carried out in accordance with the applicable guidelines.
The method provided by RAVIB was used based on the Privacy Impact Assessment module from NOREA.
The RAVIB method uses the accepted standards ISO 27002 and NEN 7510 and the guidelines BIR, BIG and BIWA.

Session Cookies

SigncastFeeds™ uses session cookies that are stored by the browser on the user computer during a running session.
These are small pieces of information that our server sends to the browser, facilitating the use of SigncastFeeds™ during a session.
This is because if the user goes back to a previous page during a session, the information from that previous page is still known.
Also keeping track that users are logged in (for time out) and whether the session is still authorized.
The rights of someone can be withdrawn during a session. A user will then no longer be able to perform operations.

Besides the IP address, these session cookies do not contain other personal data.
You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser accordingly; the solution is still functional but with some limitations.

Recorded Data

When the SigncastFeeds™ solution is used the following data is recorded during a user browser session;

  • Browser type and version
  • Used operating system
  • Device ID user agent
  • Requested urls
  • Type of request
  • Date and time of access
  • Consumed bandwidth
  • Internet Protocol (IP) address
  • User ID

The following user data is stored which is needed to acces the SigncastFeeds™ application;

  • Username
  • Password (hashed)
  • Business email address

Besides this we do not use or store other personal information.

The following data is stored from a player accessing the Signcast server;

  • Player user agent type and version
  • Player browser type and version
  • Used operating system
  • Requested urls
  • Type of request
  • Date and time of access
  • Consumed bandwidth
  • Internet Protocol (IP) address

All acces data is deleted from the server, depending on the acces type, between 7 - 30 days after acces and log entry.

Data analysis

We use a third party source log analysis platform for technical acces data analytics. These analytics is only used by us for technical purposes;

  • To overview and monitor usage, security and performance.
  • To track and analyse for incidents, issues or unusual behavior.

Therefore the server acces data is forwarded to this third-party, under non disclosure agreement, to a EU server under EU law and regulation, for data processing.
This data is encrypted and stored in such way the third-party is not able to acces or read this.
Only in case of special support request, from the Signcast DPO (Data Protection Officer), a partly acces can be granted and then only used for technical maintenance support only.
This data is stored under strong regulations; SOC-2 Type 2 compliant, is HIPPA compliant, has ISO27001 certification
and is compliant with GDPR (GDPR General Data Protection Regulation / AVG as per 25 May 2018).
We have a DPA agreement (DPA - data processing agreement) under GDPR 2018-05-25 with this company, to be GDPR compliant.
The data is temporarily stored and is automatically erased after 14 days after log entry.

Data sharing

We are providing a hosting solution. We declare that all content provided from clients is their data and is owned by them.
We do not own their data. And we handle their content as strictly confidential.
We are able to access client data, but strictly only for technical operations, system monitoring and in case of maintenance.
Besides the exception of data analysis as prior stated, we do not re-use, re-sell, sell or share their data, or any personal information, with others.

Only when Signcast is obliged to share data, by virtue of a statutory provision or court order, it will act in accordance.
In that case, Signcast will endeavor to restrict the knowledge of the data as far as possible, in so far as this is within its power.

Data center hosting under ISO 9001 and ISO 27001

The data center both holds ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certifications.
The datacenter is frequently audited (and under supervision) by Bureau Veritas.
Not only for the certification of ISO9001 and ISO27001, but also for risk assessments and black box testing.

SSL Secured connections

Browser traffic between user, client(s), player(s) and SigncastFeeds™ server is encrypted HTTPS SSL.
Test for SSL/TLS implementation of any service on any port for compliance with PCI DSS requirements, HIPAA guidance and
NIST guidelines have been positive audited.

Email mailings

We send email mailings about relevant development, updates, maintenance etc. For this we use MailChimp.
We have a DPA agreement (DPA - data processing agreement) under GDPR 2018-05-25 with this company, to be GDPR compliant.
To receive such emails we ask our users their explicit approval.
Without this explicit approval we are not able to send further information like developments, updates, maintenance etc.

Privacy Statement Changes

It is possible that Signcast® will extend or change this Privacy Statement in the future. Important and / or far-reaching changes will be communicated in a clear way. 
By using SigncastFeeds™ after changes, you automatically agree with a modified Privacy Statement. Keep a close eye on the Privacy Statement page for all changes.

Usage Terms

The use, service and the subscription of the Signcast® CMS solution SigncastFeeds™ is on the basis of SaaS (Software as a Service),
and is subject to the Terms of Use and General Terms of Delivery of SigncastFeeds™;
